Digital Technologies Srl – privacy notice

This privacy notice (the “Notice”) explains the reasons for, and the methods used to collect and manage, personal data relating to customers of the services provided by Digital Technologies Srl Società Benefit, as well as how such data is protected.

Data Controller

Digital Technologies Srl Società Benefit (also the “Company”) acts as data controller. You can contact the Company for information on the processing of personal data and to exercise the rights granted to data subjects by the GDPR at: privacy@digtechs.com.

Digital Technologies Srl has appointed a Data Protection Officer (“DPO”), who may be contacted by data subjects for information about personal data processing carried out by the controller at: privacy.dpo@digtechs.com.

Digital Technologies Srl undertakes to process your data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679), known as the “GDPR”. In particular, the processing of Personal Data carried out by Digital Technologies Srl will comply with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose limitation, storage limitation, data minimization, accuracy, integrity and confidentiality.

Purpose of this privacy notice

This notice is provided pursuant to Article 13 of the GDPR to explain how Digital Technologies Srl processes personal data collected through the use of its website or application, including data provided to use its services and request information, for example to subscribe to our newsletter, interact with our customer support or take part in a promotion or survey.

Browsing data

The IT systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, certain personal data whose transmission is inherent in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with identified data subjects, but by its nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, make it possible to identify users. This category includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the site, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file received in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the server response (successful, error, etc.), time indications for the start and end of the session and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and IT environment.

Purpose and legal basis of processing: the data is used to check the proper functioning of the website and to obtain anonymous statistical information. The data may also be used to establish liability in the event of cybercrimes against the website (website terms of use).
Retention period: data is normally retained for short periods of time [12 months], except for any extensions connected with investigations.
Provision: the data is acquired automatically by the website’s technological systems.

The user’s optional, explicit and voluntary submission in relation to:

Completion of forms to request information or materials or to take part in events, for example webinars or conferences;
Sending emails and/or ordinary mail to Digital Technologies Srl using the contact details provided on the website;

This entails the subsequent acquisition and use of personal data to fulfil the purposes arising from the user’s requests. Personal data will in any case be retained for periods compatible with the purpose for which it was collected.

Retention period: at the end of the relationship with the requester [maximum 12 months].
Provision: necessary to respond to the requester’s requests.

4. Job opportunities

The Company collects data from individuals interested in applying for open positions through the “Careers” section of the website.

Purpose and legal basis of processing: assessment of the application (pre-contractual measure).
Retention period: normally 12 months after submission of the application.
Provision: necessary to carry out the selection process.

5. Marketing

The user’s optional, explicit and voluntary subscription to the Company’s newsletter for commercial purposes.

Purpose and legal basis of processing: consent of the data subject.
Retention period: until consent is withdrawn.
Provision: optional.

How personal data is used

Processing is carried out using manual, IT, electronic or otherwise automated tools, directly by the Controller or by third parties, either as independent controllers or as persons authorized to process data by the Controller. Data is processed for the time necessary to achieve the purposes indicated above and within the time limits provided by law or by decisions of the supervisory authority. Data is processed using technical and organizational security measures appropriate to the level of risk, in order to minimize the risks of destruction or loss, modification, unauthorized access or processing that is not compliant with the purposes of collection.

Rights provided by law

The law grants a number of rights in relation to personal data. The Company is committed to protecting personal data and complying with the data protection laws in force from time to time. Rights	What does this mean?
1. Right to information	Right to information: the user’s right to receive clear, transparent and easily understandable information on how their personal data is used and on their rights. This is why the information contained in this Notice is provided.
2. Right of access	The user’s right to obtain access to their data, if such data is being processed, and to other information similar to that provided in this privacy notice. The purpose is to ensure that the user is aware of and can verify whether their personal data is being used in accordance with data privacy law.
3. Right to rectification	The user’s right to have information corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
4. Right to erasure or right to be forgotten	The user’s right to request the erasure or removal of data where there is no valid reason to continue using it. This is not an unrestricted right to erasure, as it is subject to exceptions.
5. Right to restrict data processing	The user’s right to ‘block’ or prevent further use of the information. When data processing is restricted, the Company may still store the information but may not use it further. The Company keeps lists of people who have requested the ‘blocking’ of further use of their information in order to ensure that this restriction is respected in the future.
6. Right to data portability	The user’s right to obtain and reuse their personal data for their own purposes across different services. For example, if they decide to switch to a new provider, this right enables information to be moved, copied or transferred easily between the company’s IT systems and their own systems securely and safely, without affecting its usability.
7. Right to object to processing	The user’s right to object to processing for direct marketing purposes, carried out only with prior consent, and also to processing carried out to protect the Company’s legitimate interests.
8. Right to lodge complaints	The user’s right to lodge a complaint with the national data protection authority regarding the way in which the Company processes their personal data.
9. Right to withdraw consent	the user’s right to withdraw at any time the consent previously given for any activity involving the processing of their personal data. Exercising this right does not affect the lawfulness of anything carried out up to that point with the user’s personal data and their consent to processing. It may also consist solely of withdrawing consent to the use of personal data for marketing purposes by sending a request to privacy@digtechs.com.
